Ford to Close Credit Center in Irving, Texas

Automaker Ford’s Credit Business Center, located in Irving, Texas, will be closing their account maintenance department. The cut will mean 80 employees will lose their jobs, according to a letter from the Ford Motor Credit Co. which was filed with the Texas Workforce Commission on Friday.

The credit business center is located at 3660 Regent Boulevard and the affirmed layoffs are planned to take effect on March 31.

Ford Motor Credit stated that there were other departments within the business that may be closing sometime before the end of June ’09. A total of 185 employees could be affected by further closings according the aforementioned letter.
