News Corp.’s News International unit is cutting about 65 jobs at its UK national newspaper titles.

The layoffs affect The Sun, The Times, The Sunday Times and the News of the World. The majority of the jobs affected are on the production side of the business.

She said the job losses did not represent a cut to the company’s editorial budget, as all the savings would be reinvested into editorial and training existing staff.

News Corp. saw a $6.4 billion loss for the fiscal Q2, as declining ad spending crimped its broadcast-television and newspaper businesses.
