UTC to Cut 1,500 Jobs in Connecticut
Post Views 3About 1,500 white collar jobs will be lost in Connecticut as United Technologies restructures. That’s six percent of the firm’s workforce in the state.
Hartford-based UTC announced they will cut nearly 12,000 jobs globally.
Most of the cuts are likely to come from UTC’s aerospace units, Pratt & Whitney and Hamilton Sundstrand.
UTC is also pursuing furloughs, merit pay deferrals, overtime reductions and hiring freezes.
