The NewseumWashington, DC’s Newseum has cut the size of its staff twice in the last half-year, due to declining revenue from its primary source of funds, the Freedom Forum endowment.

The museum laid off 13 people last week and 17 in November. The museum now employs 219.

The Newseum was founded in April 2008, when it hired more than 100.

Newseum officials do not expect any more cuts this year. None of the layoffs affected programming or education staff at the museum, which focuses on the history of news.
