Bonfils Cuts 44, Closes Blood Donor Centers
Post Views 0Bonfils Blood Center, Colorado’s first blood bank, will cuts 44 jobs and shut two of its seven Denver-area donor centers.
The 66-year-old blood center said the 44 jobs represent nearly 10% of its staff.
It is shutting down its Aurora and Lakewood donor centers.
There has been a decline in demand for blood by hospitals in other states, but in-state demand has remained steady.
Bonfils was founded in February 1943 by philanthropist Helen Bonfils.
