Colorado to Expand Training for Highway Jobs
Post Views 2The Colorado Department of Transportation is expanding its on-the-job training program, which prepares young people for highway construction jobs.
The program is paid for through a grant from the Federal Highway Administration. The CDOT has received $1 million over the past two years, and has applied for another $700,000 this year.
Since CDOT launched the program in 2000, 1,292 students have been placed in jobs.
Prospective trainees should contact the CDOT’s Center for Equal Opportunity.
