University of MissouriThe University of Missouri System will cut 22 administrative jobs to save $2 million per year.

The layoffs target human resources, finance & administration, government relations, academic affairs, the president’s office and the UM Board of Curators office. Those affected will see outplacement services and health care.

The System has instituted a hiring freeze.

The University of Missouri System is a state university system providing centralized administration for four universities, a health care system, an extension program, five research and technology parks, and a publishing press. More than 63,000 students are currently enrolled at its four campuses. The health care system operates several hospitals and clinics in central Missouri, while the extension program provides distance learning and other educational initiatives statewide.
