Louisiana Lost 8,000 Jobs in April

The Bayou State lost 6,700 jobs between April 2008 and April 2009; this is the first time the state lost year-to-year jobs since Hurricane Katrina.
Baton Rouge lost 2,100 jobs in April. New Orleans lost 2,400 jobs.
