TraneHVAC manufacturer Trane will eliminate 320 jobs at its Pueblo, Colorado commercial air conditioning plant by August.

This accelerates layoff plans announced last year, that were set to conclude by 2011. The cuts target production staff and managers.

One hundred and twenty-five positions have already been eliminated through attrition and cuts in temp and part-time jobs.

The Pueblo plant will employ 435 workers after the layoffs.

Trane is a subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand, and is the successor to the American Standard Companies. It is a global provider of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and building management systems and controls, under the Trane and American Standard brand names. Trane has offices, service operations, joint ventures and manufacturing facilities around the world. Its international headquarters is in Piscataway, New Jersey.
