Framingham MA Fires HR Director; She Fires Back
Post Views 2Sandra Charton, the former human resources director for the City of Framingham, Massachusetts, is suing the town and Town Manager Julian Suso, alleging she was fired for blowing the whistle on alleged discrimination in municipal layoffs.
She alleges the town violated the state’s whistleblower statute, the Declaration of Rights in the state constitution and the state Civil Rights Act. She was put on leave in April for “insubordination,” and was fired June 25th.
Charton believed that a number of the layoffs were illegal. For instance, the city laid off City Hall’s only Black employee.
Framingham is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. The population was 66,910 at the 2000 census.
