indianaflag_160x120Indiana is cutting its budget for higher education by $150 million due to a shortfall in state tax revenues. As a result, the president of Indiana State University says that anywhere from 80 to 100 non teaching jobs will have to be cut to shave $5 million off of the school’s operating costs. Some of the job cuts will come through early retirements and no academic programs will be cut. The school serves approximately 10,500 students and offers degrees in over 100 fields.
