Enterprise Cutting Jobs in Florida

Enterprise Leasing Co. of Florida is laying off 67 workers in Tampa Oct. 1. The car rental agency said the layoffs will include service agents and bus drivers, the Tampa Business Journal reports.

Enterprise Leasing is a regional subsidiary of National Car Rental and Alamo Rent a Car. The layoffs are designed to coincide with the company’s plan to consolidate its car rental services to a facility at Tampa International Airport.

According to the Tampa Business Journal, affected employees will receive severance pay along with letters of recommendation. They could be rehired as positions open up, spokeswoman Christy Conrad said.
