sprintnextel_160x120Sprint is hiring 80 to 100 workers at its call center near Denver, Colo. in preparation for the launch of its 4G service in the area. The wireless provider is conducting an “on-site hiring event” at its facility in Douglas County Tuesday.

The event will take place until 6 p.m. MDT at the call center located at 333 Inverness Drive S. in the Inverness business park near Centennial Airport, the Denver Business Journal reports.  The event will allow interested job seekers to meet with Sprint representatives and learn more about management, customer care and technical support. Interviews will also be available.

“We are looking for bright, customer-focused, committed and technically astute professionals who thrive on change, innovation and technology,” Wanda Satryb, Sprint VP for business customer service and technical support, said in a statement Monday.

Sprint plans to launch its 4G network in the area this week. The new positions are the result of “an anticipation of increased customer interest,” the company said.
