Idaho-based IBI Power, a custom power packaging and integration solutions provider, is expanding to Chattanooga, Tenn. The company said Monday it plans to invest $5 million in a new facility that will create 60 new jobs.

Among the products IBI Power manufactures are metal generator enclosures and metal equipment centers that hold electronic switchgear components.

“IBI is pleased to announce that we will locate in Chattanooga to better serve customers and potential customers east of the Mississippi River,” said Tom Weissenbuehler, IBI chief operating officer. “This region boasts numerous companies in the metal industries, a skilled workforce and a superior transportation network – all important considerations in our decision to locate here.”

IBI serves industries that includes power packaging and integration, gas and oil, renewable energy, transportation and military and food processing facilities.
