The Home Depot is laying off 85 employees from its home-décor catalog and online sales business in St. Louis.  According to the St. Louis Business Journal, an additional 40 employees will be offered the chance to transfer to the company’s Atlanta headquarters.

Workers being laid off will be offered benefits that include 60 paid days, a profit-sharing payout and a single dispersal for medical costs and job placement assistance, spokeswoman Jean Niemi told Business Journal.

Home Depot’s Home Decorators Collection, which was purchased from Knight’s Direct in 2006, will be moved to Atlanta in order to consolidate the company’s operations to a single site and combine the brands.

Some employees of the Home Decorators Collection will remain in St. Louis. They include the information technology and accounting departments, along with a distribution center.
