GM Adding 600 Jobs in Michigan
Post Views 0General Motors plans to create around 600 new jobs in Lansing, Mich. through a $190 million investment in an existing Cadillac assembly plant.
The news was announced Wednesday by Mayor Virg Bernero. According to a report in the Lansing State Journal, the company plans to build a new car called the Cadillac ATS, which is a smaller and less expensive alternative to the Cadillac CTS model.
“There was a time when it looked like GM was leaving Lansing, and now it’s clear that they’re planting additional roots,” Bernero said.
Up to 60,000 cars will be built on the site, with an additional 20,000 possible if the company introduces a coupe model.
