Datatel, Inc. Appoints Barbara Polk As VP, HR and Administration

Datatel, Inc., a provider of technology products and services for colleges, universities and other institutions of higher education, has appointed Barbara Polk as vice president, human resources and administration.

Polk left her position as senior VP, HR at XO communications to join the Datatel ranks. Prior to her tenure at XO, Polk worked with organizations involving child literacy such as, Reading Is Fundamental, the country’s largest nonprofit organization for children’s literacy, and In2Books, an eMentoring program that helped connect third to fifth graders from underprivileged communities with adult volunteers to increase literacy rates.

Additionally,  Polk served as a consultant at Innovative HR Solutions, a company specializing in improving human resources functions among its clientele.
