Lincoln Financial Group Bags the 2010 HR Department of the Year Award

lincoln-financial_logo Lincoln Financial Group received the top honor at the 13th Annual Human Resources Department of the Year Awards under the large company category on Nov 23. The annual award-giving body recognizes the Delaware Valley HR teams in five size categories that have demonstrated service excellence and measurable success for their organizations. The award was sponsored by the Rosen Group and the Philadelphia Human Resources Planning Society and winners were announced at a formal dinner ceremony held at the Crystal Room Tea in Philadelphia.

Lisa Buckingham, Lincoln Financial’s Chief Human Resources Officer, expressed her joy over the prestigious award. “It is a tremendous honor for the Lincoln Financial human resources team to be selected from among our peers for this award.” Buckingham also cited that she is proud of their human resources for staying strong against the challenging economic environment of the past few years and for raising the bar on employee engagement, development and productivity.

Scott Rosen, President of the Rosen Group and founder of the HR Department of the Year Award in 1998, explained that the award was well-deserved by the recipients who rose against the challenges of the recent economic market. “The winners of the HR Department of the Year Award understand both the needs of their employees and their companies. Lincoln Financial is a good example of how smart companies align HR strategy with business strategy to gain critical market advantages.”
