Universal Music Group Appoints Head Of Human Resources

Though perceived to be a thing of the passed, record labels are still promoting within.

Universal Music Group International’s SVP of Human Resources to Global Head of Human Resources.

Regarding the promotion, Co-CEO Lucian Grange had this to say: “As we continue to grow our business, the human aspect is critical in all of our activities. Based on this, we’ve made the decision to expand our Human Resources area by making this a global function which will help to further strengthen our organizational capability. And [Swatton] is the ideal executive to lead it.”

Swatton has been with the company since 2002 when he started on as U.K. Human Resource Director.
