Job Listings Down in December

The general economic trend has been steady improvement but there are still some hitches in the road to recovery.  The most recent is a Labor Department report that says company job listings were down to 3.1 million in December, the lowest total since September.  However, job listings are up 31% since July of 2009 and most analysts expect to see the upward trend continue.  In the mean time, layoffs are also at a three year low.
