Another round of layoffs is happening at AM General, the manufacturer of military use Humvees. The layoffs will affect nearly 300 employees at their plant in Mishawaka, Indiana.

The 300 employees will be phased out in rounds which began Monday.

Congressman Joe Donnelly gave a statement regarding the news saying “These workers are our friends and neighbors and I stand ready to be as helpful as I can as they transition out of their current positions.”

Donelly also spoke out on behalf of AM General, saying “It is also important to note that AM General, and the Humvees it makes, continue to be vital to our national security and the Hoosier economy. I will keep working with the company in Congress to see that they remain so in the future.”
