Formula 1Austin-based advertising firm, Exopolis Inc. will take over the marketing and branding for a proposed Formula One race to happen in Austin.

Exopolis Matt Hovis says, “We’re just thrilled, as you can imagine.” Additionally, Hovis told the press, “I think Austin is going to end up being an absolutely ideal fit for this. Part of what we’ll be marketing is our fantastic little city. That’s one of the great draws of this account for us.”

Austin Ventures bought out Exopolis Inc., formerly a Los-Angeles based agency, last year. Now, the company owns offices in Los Angeles, Austin and New York.

According to Hovis, among the duties given to Exopolis are the naming and brand development for the new race facility being build in Travis County. They will also be charged with the duty of educating the public about the internationally popular sport.

Sandy West, vice president of corporate affairs says, “We are creating a world-class business and entertainment destination, so we selected agencies willing to bring their full commitment and a collaborative spirit to that vision.”

In addition to tapping Exopolis for marketing and branding, Formula 1 has tapped the Austin-based PR firm, Hahn, Texas to handle media relations for the new track.
