One-Third of HR Professionals Hiring In 2Q

As the job market begins to pick back up, human resources managers are planning to hire in the second quarter of 2011.

The Society for Human Resource Management conducted a survey among HR professionals, asking them about their hiring plans for 2011. According to the results, one third of HR professionals say they are planning to hire in 2Q. Out of the mid-sized companies who were asked, 35 percent of them said they will hire. 33 percent of large companies said the same, as well as 32 percent of small companies.

Additionally, more than half, 57 percent of HR professionals claimed to be confident about the job market in 2011. 53 percent were very optimistic, while 4 percent went as far as to say they were very optimistic.
