Potential Layoffs for Louisiana Prisons
Post Views 0By the instructions of the Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, the State Department of Corrections secretary Jimmy LeBlanc, in a memorandum issued to the wardens of the five state prisons, directed to start preparations for the possible layoff of more than 1000 employees because of the $27.5 million cut in the budget as proposed by the house. The layoff plan will be implemented in the state prisons of Cottonport, Dequincy, Pineville, Keithville and Angie.
