Chicago Teachers Union Says African-American Teachers Hit Hardest By Layoffs

The Chicago Teachers Union says that 43% of recently laid off teachers are black, although the share of African- Americans teachers among all teachers is about 30. CPS does not agree with the numbers released by the union and states that there is still diverse workforce.
