Lakota proposes layoffs to save $4.3 million in teacher salaries

Lakota Local Schools announced its new plans to cut junior and senior high school teacher positions, which is seen as an effort to save $4.3 million in teacher salaries. More than 69 positions are in the process of cutting out in different schools. In order to maximize savings, class sizes would be maximized, compact courses would be introduced and the school hours would be shortened.
