Latest Hanford Layoffs Turn Thoughts

Hanford, Washington is the location of the Bechtel National vitrification plant, which is experiencing another round of layoffs. The local tri city area is however, somewhat used to recurring spates of increased unemployment, over periods of decades. Now this community and its economic planners have been diversifying to agriculture and other industry, and so their future is not so dim due to the losses at just one business.
