The employment levels are starting to get a whole lot better in different areas and then there are certain areas that are not doing so well with the employment picture. Job seekers that have are having a hard time finding employment in certain areas may want to head over to other areas, the areas in which the employment picture is looking a lot better than it is in some other areas. Lower employment in some areas does not always necessarily mean that the area is the absolute best for finding employment because sometimes those numbers simply mean that people have given up looking for a job, with no luck after searching for quite a while. And, some areas with lower unemployment may provide more available jobs but those areas may cost more, as in the price for rent and the overall price for living.

After reviewing different cities in the United States and comparing several different aspects, which includes the cost of living in each area, along with the types of industries available, and education of the residents, the conclusion was made as to which areas were the overall best when it came down to actually being able to find a job. The number one city for finding a job is Washington D.C., having the best overall employment picture than any other city in the United States. And, in the city, the unemployment rate is at a low 5.5%, much lower than many of the other cities in the United States. This proves that the market in this city is improving. In the D.C. area, there are so many people who have degrees and the right amount of skills to get certain jobs, regardless of which industry they are working in. The area also offers an assortment of schools and universities, as well as mass transit, which makes it an ideal city to live in.

The second spot goes to the Austin area of Texas, with a jobless rate of 6.0%. In the past few years, Austin has become an idea place for people to move to and live in because the city is so diverse and has much to offer its residents. Most importantly, a lot of companies are moving to this area are and are hiring people to fill in positions, which helps with the jobless rate and makes it easier for job seekers to find available employment. Austin is also the home to a top university, the University of Texas, along with several other colleges and schools, and even local businesses.

Coming in at third place was Ithica, a city located in New York. The workforce is diverse and many of the people are highly educated, which helps when it comes to getting certain positions with specific employers. These three cities show that improvements are being made with the economy and are good overall places to live.
