Sprint Tells Employees Clearwire Deal Won’t Cause Layoffs
Post Views 2Although the Sprint Nextel Corporation has notified its employees that there will not be any layoffs following the company’s acquisition of the Clearwire Corporation, the situation is still foggy for Clearwire. Sprint, the Overland Park based company wih more than 7,000 employees, is planning to acquire Clearwire for $2.2 billion. The Sprint’s Chief Executive Officer Dan Hesse has said in a letter to his employees that the acquisition of Clearwire is an important step for the company and would accelerate its turnaround making the company more competitive.
