The BLS reports that this industry will experience 27 percent growth between the years of 2010 to 2020. Actuaries find most of their work with insurance companies.

3. Registered Nurses

Registered nurses are responsible for caring directly for their patients in hospitals, doctor offices and when issuing home care. The BLS has said that this profession will grow by a rate of 26 percent from 2010 to 2020. In an effort to attract and retain nurses within the industry, employers are considering offering flexible work schedules, signing bonuses and other lucrative benefits.

4. Management Analysts

These professionals help managers at companies and firms make their decisions. They also help managers find ways to make their departments or companies more profitable. The BLS reports that this profession will grow by 22 percent from 2010 to 2020.

5. Auditors and Accountants

Accountants are used today by almost every company in an effort to manage their finances and record-keeping processes. This profession is expected to grow by 16 percent from 2010 to 2020, according to the BLS.

6. Computer Applications Software Engineers

Mobile applications are becoming more and more popular these days, which is why software engineers are in such high demand across the business world. This profession is expected to experience a growth of 28 percent from 2010 to 2020, according to data from the BLS.

7. Computer Systems Analysts

These professionals help companies operate as efficiently as possible and manage the computer networks within the organization. This profession should experience growth of 22 percent from 2010 to 2020, according to the BLS.

8. Surgeons and Physicians

The medical industry has been expanding exponentially of late and these two types of doctors are expected to increase by 24 percent from 2010 to 2020, according to BLS reports.

9. Civil Engineers

The infrastructure of the country is due for a makeover, or some rebuilding, which is why this profession continues to explode. The BLS reports that this profession will experience growth of 19 percent from 2010 to 2020.

10. Market Research Analysts

These professionals help companies reach their customers on a continual basis. This profession will experience 41 percent growth from 2010 to 2020, according to the BLS.
