USAJobs Hacked, User Info Stolen

An alert posted on the usajobs.gov website says that their technology master, Monster.com, has been illegally accessed; and user IDs, passwords, email addresses, names and phone numbers have been taken.

Officials say the hackers did not get social security numbers or personal financial data.

Tthe last time this kind of data was stolen from Monster.com, the information was used to send phishing e-mails and distribute malware.

The alert on the USA Jobs site says that users might be required to change their passwords. If you used the same password for your Webmail or other accounts that you use for either jobs site, be aware that the thieves might very well try that password to break into your e-mail accounts.
