SPESD board sends out layoff notices to teachers and administrators

Trustee of Santa Paula Elementary School District have announce that they would lay off 36 certificated employees. 20 teachers are effected. In the past, the Board have approved for the layoffs but then hired the employees back later. The President of Santa Paula Federation of Teachers suggested that the Board look elsewhere to make reduction. She asked the Board to revise the resolution and reduce the number of employees on the lay off list.
