Wisconsin Appliance Manufacturer to Cut 350 Jobs

Sub-Zero Freezer/Wolf Appliance will lay off up to 350 Madison, Wisconsin workers on or after May 1st.

The company builds high-end refrigerators, freezers and cooking appliances. The announcement follows the layoff of 79 workers in January at the Wolf Appliance division in Madison.

Madison Local 565 of the Sheet Metal Workers Union represents many of the company’s workers. Business agent Dave Goodspeed says the news was a blow because Sub-Zero/Wolf provides well-paying jobs.
