FLA Orthopedics Shipping Florida Jobs to Mexico

The German parent company of FLA Orthopedics in Miramar, Florida is moving all its 163 South Florida jobs to its Mexican manufacturing plant.

FLA Orthopedics, a 32-year-old company that makes braces, diabetic shoes and other supportive equipment, was purchased by Hamburg-based BSN Medical in 2007

FLA Orthopedics has 250 employees in Miramar, North Carolina and New Jersey.

The plant will be closed by September 30th, with the operations moved to BSN’s facility in Reynosa, Mexico.

The FLA Orthopedics employees will have the opportunity to apply for other jobs at BSN.
