Steelcase to Cut 200 White Collars
Post Views 10Grand Rapids, Michigan office furniture manufacturer Steelcase will lay off 200 white-collar employees, as the firm adjusts to a one-third drop in sales.
The company is also planning to close some of its manufacturing plants, although specifics have not been announced.
Since March 2008, Steelcase has cut 1,350 jobs and closed four plants. It employs 13,000 worldwide.
Steelcase is an international office furniture company, founded in 1912 in Grand Rapids, Michigan as The Metal Office Furniture Company. The company sells products related to interior architecture, furniture and technology.
