There are a couple of things that you need to do before you intend to be a life guard. First is learning how to swim. Ideally, you should pick up a job as a lifeguard at a community pool center instead of heading to a beach as there are fewer people there and therefore less responsibility. Once you are comfortable with the whole process, you may switch to a job at the beach.
