Old is Gold in the US Job Market

For the first time in US history, workers above 65 years outnumber workers in the 16-19 years age group. This momentous information was mined from data compiled by the Bloomberg News and analyzed from federal data that showed in 1948 teens in the workforce, outnumbered workers above 65 years by at least 1.5 million. Keeping in mind that the population of the country has gone up tremendously in the last 60 years, the 1.5 million represents a huge gap that has been covered and crossed by our nation’s senior citizens.
