New York Governor Reaches Five Year Deal with CSEA to Avoid Layoffs
Post Views 0The Civil Service Employees Association which is the largest union of New York state workers has avoided the lay-off of many of its members by reaching an agreement with New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, which otherwise would have laid-off about 9,800 workers. According to this deal there will be no wage increments till the end of next year and there will be only 9 furlough days which means they will get a 2% wage increase only in the year 2014.
