Layoffs At 4 N.J. Newspapers owned by Gannett
Post Views 0Gannett Co. slashed jobs at four newspapers owned by it. The job cuts were part of a continuing round of austerity measures implemented by the company and are the results of shifts in technology and readers opting to go online to do their reading.Thomas Donovan,President of the press,said that about 700 employees were laid off nationwide.This is the largest layoff in the last two years.
