Gov. Malloy, unions in standoff over jobs cuts.

The standoff between Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and the state employee union showed no signs of breaking off. The stakes are pretty high as 6500 jobs and tons of state services are on the line. Connecticut’s unemployment rate is already soaring high at 9.1%. Both the sides want the same thing ie. to prevent any more lay-offs but both are adamant to stick to their terms.
