Councilman in Allen Park raises concern of public safety in face of municpal layoffs

By the end of the week 14 more municipal employees in Allen Park are expected to be laid off. To date seven police officers, five firefighters, employees of other unions, three dispatchers, a deputy clerk and the mayor’s secretary have been laid off. These lay offs are due to a decrease in the city’s budget.
