Teens in Tough Job Market

Info from Graphic documents the dramatic shifts in teen employment over the last decade in the US and particularly in Illinois. Employment for teens aged 16-19 has dropped 42% nationally and 45% in Illinois since 1999. A graph also shows a huge racial and income disparity with White teens from higher income families holding significantly more jobs than lower income Black and Hispanic teens.
