Elkhart General Hospital to Expect Layoffs

Elkhart General Hospital is eliminating 40 jobs to cut costs in the 2012 Financial Year. Gregory Losasso cites a turn down in the local economy and a high unemployment rate which “has a ripple effect in many industries including healthcare”. Administrators are seeking alternate revenue sources to avoid adjusting staff to patient ratios.
