AT&T is selling off its phone book interest to Cerberus Capital. AT&T is a telecommunications giant and they are getting rid of the parts of the business that are not making big profits. Many people these days use the Internet instead of phone books, so AT&T sees phone books as an area that will not be growing in the future. The sale could mean the loss of over 500 jobs in the St. Louis area.
