Harper Government’s Advertised Job Program Not Yet Existing

A new federal Canada Jobs Grant program for training workers is being heavily promoted by the Harper government in prime-time television advertising even though the program does not yet exist. The program is still in the conceptual stages and terms need to be worked out with provincial governments and employers. The plan for the jobs program would have the federal government, provincial governments and employers each contributing $5,000 toward worker training.
