Conn. AG to Take Layoff Ruling to U.S. Supreme Court
Post Views 2Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen will ask the United States Supreme Court to overturn a lower-court ruling that found former Gov. John G. Rowland’s administration violated unionized state employees’ rights when he laid off 2,800 of them in 2003. Jepsen said the ruling by the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals could have significant consequences for the state’s taxpayers if it is not overturned.
