An $800,000 shortfall in the Saginaw city budget means that several fire fighters will lose their jobs. The city has been dealing with the International Association of Fire Fighters to possibly save nine jobs of the 15 that are expected to be cut. These concessions mean that the fire fighters will be working longer hours for the same amount of pay. Forty four fire fighters will remain under contract with the city until June 2016.
