Spending on advertising has grown again, with ad spending in the first quarter of 2011 tallying to $32.5 billion. Car manufactures saw the biggest increase in advertising, with Chrysler, Ford, and Toyota all increasing their spending rates over their first quarter from a year ago by a double digit margin. Elsewhere, online advertising increased by double digits.
