St. Louis, Missouri Public Schools to Cut 350 Jobs
Post Views 0The St. Louis, Missouri Public Schools board has approved a 2010 budget that eliminates 350 jobs.
The district, which has 3,800 full-time employees, will leave unfilled positions empty and lay off existing staff. About 70 of those targeted are teachers.
The district will also close 14 schools.
St. Louis Public Schools is the school district that operates public schools in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. With a 2005 enrollment of approximately 33,000 students, it is the largest public school district in the state of Missouri.
