Montgomery County, Ohio to Cut 30 Jobs

Half of the cuts came from the Sheriff’s Department last month.
The remainder of the layoffs will target parks & recreation, maintenance and the clerk of courts. Some of those cut will be offered alternate positions with the County.
Ohio’s Montgomery County had a population of 559,000 in the 2000 census. It was named in honor of Richard Montgomery, an American Revolutionary War general killed in 1775 while attempting to capture Quebec City, Canada. The county seat is Dayton.
